Microchip Clinic

Did you know every time a purebred dog is picked up by animal control several people show up claiming to be the dog's owner..? Sure, the shelter asks for proof, but in a small photo, one Pug can look pretty much like another to an untrained eye. You may say that your dog never gets out, but it can happen while the dog is at the Vet, being watched by a neighbor, a Pet Sitter or while you are traveling out of state. 

It doesn't have to be a bad situation, you can increase the chances of getting your dog back safe and sound with the simple act of Micro chipping your dog.  Micro chipping, and registration of the microchip number, provides the very proof you may need to prove a dog is really yours, and not someone else who is claiming ownership. Since all of our local shelters now scan for microchips, and immediately check the National registries' database for the owner's contact information, your chances of getting your dog back safe and sound is greatly increased. 

The microchip is so small that it fits right through a hypodermic needle. Just like a vaccination, it's injected under the skin of your dog between the shoulder blades, where it remains safely for life. The registration is then sent in to the PETtrac national database, and the unique chip number for your dog is then available 24 hours a day through their hotline number @ 800/336-2843.
